Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev urged regional leaders not just to spend the funds allocated for road construction, but also to get the motorways in order.
“It is necessary not to spend money, but to execute works in due time. Unfortunately, what we can is to spend funds, including those allocated to roads. A qualitatively performed work on the repair and construction of roads is required”, he told at a meeting on the issue of the public road system of the Omsk region.
In such a manner, the Prime Minister responded to the speech of Governor of the Omsk region, Viktor Nazarov, who said that although last year the regional authorities had not spent 380 million rubles allocated for road construction, they would do it this year.
