Russia and Qatar are considering joint projects worth about $12 billion, Deputy Chairman of the Russian-Qatari Intergovernmental Commission, the Energy Minister of Russia, Alexander Novak, announced on Tuesday.
“$1.2 billion have been invested in specific projects. More projects worth about $12 billion are pending consideration”, - the Ministry’s press office quotes Mr. Novak.
The Minister added that the working group would be created to monitor the implementation of agreements within the framework of an intergovernmental agreement between the two countries.
According to him, a trade turnover between Russia and Qatar has increased almost two times in comparison with 2015.
“Our goal is not only the development of trade, but also joint investment in projects of Russia and Qatar,” – Novak said.
