PGNiG, the Polish gas company, filed a complaint against Gazprom to the European Commission on violation of the antitrust law of the European Union, as it follows from the report of the Russian gas holding according to IFRS for the year 2016.

The claim of the alleged violation on the part of Gazprom and its subsidiary Gazprom Export under the article 102 of the treaty on the EU functioning was received on March 14, 2017.

In its address, the Polish company claims that Gazprom violates antitrust law by means of “unfair pricing policy in respect to PGNiG”, and “preventing cross-border gas trade”, as well as “contract binding”. In response to the complaint, the European Commission has registered the case.
