Austrian building group Strabag increases its net profit by 55%

In 2016, Strabag, an Austrian building concern, has increased its net profit by 55% - up to 282 million euro, compared with the previous year, as it follows from a report published on Thursday.




Last year, the company’s revenues dropped by 6%, down to 12,4 billion euro, the document reads. EBITDA (Earnings before Interest, Taxation, Depreciation & Amortization) has risen by 5% - up to 855,2 million euro, while EBITDA profitability has increased from 6,2% to 6,9%.

The report states that the Board of Directors will recommend the shareholders’ meeting to pay 0,95 euro per share as of the year-end 2016. These are the highest dividends since Strabag’s IPO in 2007.

In 2016, Strabag’s portfolio increased by 13% - up to 14.8 billion euro.
