OMV, an international, integrated oil and gas company, headquartered in Vienna, plans to negotiate the extension of existing contracts with Gazprom, a Russia gas giant, as well as the purchase of additional volumes of gas.
This statement was made by CEO of OMV, Rainer Seele, over the course of his meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin. The corresponding documents are published on the official presidential website.
“Alexey Miller (the head of Gazprom. – editor’s not) and me intend to speak not only about the extension of the existing contracts, but also on the purchase of additional volumes,” Rainer Seele said.
The head of OMV described the company's relationship with Gazprom as “those of a married couple”.
