Saudi Arabia will allocate nearly $200 million for the construction of new parliamentary and governmental buildings of Tajikistan.
As Asia Plus reported on Tuesday, citing a source in the government of Tajikistan, the funds will be provided as a grant.
“The new parliamentary complex of the Republic will be erected on the site where now the buildings of the Agriculture Ministry of Tajikistan, Mayor Office of Dushanbe, Iranian Embassy and several other premises are located, up to the junction of Rudaki Avenue with Shokhtemur Street (near “Tajikistan” hotel),” - the message reads.
All of the buildings mentioned in the message are currently subject to demolition in accordance with the general plan for the city development.
