Laying rail-sleeper grid in a railway section from Zhuravka to Millerovo, which is intended to bypass the territory of Ukraine, is scheduled to be completed before August 1, 2017.
This is what the head of the Main Directorate of Railway Troops of the Russian Defense Ministry, Lieutenant General Oleg Kosenkov told reporters on Tuesday.
“The opening of operating traffic on Zhuravka – Millerovo railway section is scheduled for August of this year. We are going to complete laying rail-sleeper grid in full on this site before 1 August”, - he said.
According to Oleg Kosenkov, the construction of a permanent route is conducted in six stages with a total length of 170,2 km.
