A Russian citizen, who has been on the wanted list since 2013 for real estate fraud abroad, was deported from Thailand.
As Construction.RU was told today by the regional Department of Internal Affairs, now, a native of Vladivostok, 45, is in a pre-trial detention center in Russia.
In 2013, the regional department of the Internal Affairs Ministry of Russia in the Primorsky territory sought a resident of Vladivostok, Matvei Shuvalov, for a number of frauds. In particular, he is suspected of fraud with real estate in Thailand.
In March, law enforcement agents in Thailand detained Mr. Shuvalov. He is charged with a large scale fraud committed together with his accomplices in Vladivostok from July 2007 to August 2008.
According to investigators, the accused received from citizens 8.5 million rubles for construction of housing in Thailand, which subsequently has not been carried out.
