The process of the UK leaving European Union might be delayed and face serious difficulties, Chief Executive Officer of Goldman Sachs Lloyd Blankfein said in an interview with the BBC.

According to Mr. Blankfein, the American bank, which employs about 6,000 people in Great Britain, plans to transfer them to other countries depending on the outcome of the negotiations on Brexit. Lloyd Blankfein stressed that he would like to maintain the bank's presence in the country and hoped that there would be no need to implement these plans.

Goldman Sachs’ CEO acknowledged that his company was in talks with the authorities in various European cities, and considered the possibility of moving to larger premises, including those in Dublin and Frankfurt.
