Over the course of the first quarter of 2017, members of the Board of Rosneft, the Russian oil company, have received bonuses totaling almost 1,5 billion rubles (approximately $25,8 million), Vedomosti newspaper reports on Wednesday.
Remuneration of the Board of Directors has increased due to the payment of bonuses “for the implementation of the integrated privatization transaction.” Namely, the matter concerns the purchase of 50.08% of shares of Bashneft oil company and the sale of 19.5% stake in Rosneft to investors. As a result of these transactions, the Russian government have received more than 1 trillion rubles.
Thus, in the first quarter of 2017, a total amount of bonuses paid by Rosneft to ten members of its Board is 100 times more than it was in January – March last year.
