Pierre le Grand, the Belgian Association, is collecting money through crowdfunding necessary for the construction of a monument to the Russian Emperor Peter I the Great.
The monument is planned to be installed in the Belgian city of Liege, RTBF reports. The total budget for the structure is estimated at €80,000.
By using crowdfunding, the Association aims to raise €5,000 out of €80,000 needed to create and install the monument.
The monument to Peter the Great will be mounted in June in honor of 300 anniversary of the visit of the Russian Emperor to Liege. It is expected that a bronze statue of Peter I will be placed in the historical center of the city.
