Opening of the Russia’s spiritual and cultural center in Strasbourg will be held on May 19 in the territory of the Russian Church of All Saints.

The opening ceremony will be headed by a rector of this church and the Moscow Patriarchate’s representative to the Council of Europe Abbot Philip (Ryabykh) and Mayor of Strasbourg Roland Rice, according to the press office of the church.

The center is intended to house the Russian Church’s mission at the Council of Europe, as well as meeting rooms, a conference room, and residential and commercial premises will be located there.

In March, golden domes made in Moscow were mounted on the under construction church.

The idea of building a Church arose after the establishment of the parish of All Saints in 2003 and the mission of the Russian Church to the Council of Europe in 2004.
