Italian manufacturer of Barilla pasta and producer of Chiarli wine are considering the possibility of localization of the production in the Moscow region, Russia, a Vice-President of the General Confederation of Italian Industry Andrea Bozzoli told reporters on Monday.

“Of course, there are close established links related to export of macaroni and wine products. Such firms of Italian families, as Barilla and Chiarli, have been successfully cooperating with Russia for a long time and now they are actively negotiating the establishment of their production facilities in the Moscow region,” Andrea Bozzoli said during a road show of the Moscow region’s investment potential in Italy.

Mr. Bozzoli also noted that the main areas of cooperation between the Italian northeastern region of Emilia-Romagna and Russia’s Moscow region should be producing pasta and wine.
