Russian law enforcement agencies are conducting investigating actions in the Directorate of Transport Construction of St. Petersburg and in the office of Pilon company.
As Interfax was told on Tuesday by the regional department of the Federal Security Service (the FSB) of Russia, the agency’s officers were participating in these activities. No further details have been revealed, however.
Saint-Petersburg Transport Construction Directorate state institute is a subdivision of the Committee for Transport Infrastructure Development. It acts as a commissioner for construction and reconstruction of objects.
JSC Pilon was a contractor of works on major transportation facilities in St. Petersburg. In particular, the company reconstructed the Palace Bridge, built an overpass at the crossing of Dunaisky Prospekt and Pulkovo highway, as well as participated in construction of the Yacht Bridge towards a stadium situated on Krestovsky Island.
