Due to possible attacks of militant from Islamic State, a terrorist organization banned in the Russian Federation, carried out against the Russian warships going through the Bosporus, the Istanbul authorities have taken additional measures to ensure security in the region.
As Habertürk reports, the Turkish security forces have established and taken under the supervision 146 points in the area of the Strait, where ships could be shelled.
The Turkish intelligence agency has found out that jihadists might plan a rocket attack or long gun shooting. Currently, the agency is studying possible spots of missile launches, while the Istanbul police is checking a coastal zone in the areas, where ships come close to land.
