The Russian-Chinese Investment Fund established by the Russian Direct Investment Fund (RDIF) and China Investment Corporation (CIC), ready to invest in Yandex.Taxi service, the head of RDIF Kirill Dmitriev told Russia 24 TV channel.
“Recently, we have submitted an application for investment in Yandex.Taxi, which is pretty a high-tech company in the Russian market. Most likely, the Russian-Chinese Investment Fund will invest in this company,” – Kirill Dmitriev said.
At the end of April, Kommersant newspaper reported with the reference to its sources that a minority package of Yandex.Taxi could be sold for $150-200 million. According to the current UBS rating, the value of Yandex.Taxi amounts to $1.2 billion. At such assessment, raising $150-200 million involves the sale of 12.5-16.7% of the company.
