At present, the volume of investments made within concession agreements in the housing and utility sector exceeds 226 billion rubles ($4 billion), the head of the Russian Construction Ministry, Mikhail Menn, said at a press conference devoted to housing reforming.
“Up to date, over 1,600 concession agreements have been concluded, a total amount of investments amounts to more than 226 billion rubles,” Mikhail Menn informed.
The Minister noted that in the regions, where concession agreements were in place, service delivery was significantly improved.
“The number of accidents in heating supply system has reduced by 47%, while in water supply the decline accounts for 21%. The damage has reduced by 18% and 14% respectively,” Mikhail Menn specified.
