Building of a new modern coal terminal under the name of Port Vera began in the Primorye Territory located in the Russian Far East.

As Construction.Ru was told by the regional administration’s press service, roads building and laying out of the site for a pier and conveyor line are underway at a construction site. When the designed capacity of the terminal is reached, the facility will be capable to handle over 20 million tons of coal per year.

Investors in the project are Rosengineering Group of Companies, RT Global Resources, a subsidiary of Rostec. The volume of investment will reach 40 billion rubles.

According to first Vice Governor of the Primorsky region of Russia, Vasily Usoltsev, construction of coal terminals outside major cities will solve one of the environmental problems in the region – a huge amount of coal dust.
