Trade turnover between Russia and Italy grew by 28%

In the first two months of 2017, trade turnover between Russia and Italy has increased by 28%.




This was stated by President of Russia Vladimir Putin at a meeting with Prime Minister of Italy Paolo Gentili, Kremlin’s press office reports on Wednesday.

“Unfortunately, we saw a decline in trade, but once you became Prime Minister, our mutual trade has started to grow: for the first two months of this year, it is 28 percent more,” Putin said.

On 11th of April, 2017, Vladimir Putin met with Italian President Sergio Mattarella and expressed regret over a 2.5-percent decrease in turnover. After that, Chairman of the Russian Government Dmitry Medvedev announced that a mutual trade between the countries had decreased from $54 billion to $20 billion.
