On Thursday, the city council of Yekaterinburg, Russia, has approved the construction of Judo Palace, which will be located in the Akademichesky district.
As Construction.RU was told by the city administration’s press office, the facility will have an area of 14,621 square meters and is design to house 2,500 people. On one side, the Palace will border with Chkalova Street, and on the other – with the area of the city’s park.
After construction activities are completed at a site and the facility is put in operation, judo competitions of the level of European championships can be held there.
The project is expected to be included in the state program and will be funded from the federal budget.
