The Government of Russia has approved the provision of transfer to the budget of the Mordovia Republic for the purpose of financing construction of a passenger terminal at the airport located in the republican city of Saransk.
According to the government’s website, the draft decree adopted on a session on the 18th of May, provides for the allocation of funds in the amount of 700 million rubles ($12 million).
The funds are intended to finance construction of a permanent terminal of the airport, which will serve domestic flights. Apart from that, a temporary terminal is currently under construction in Saransk and is scheduled to be put in operation by 2018 World Cup in Russia.
