A hotel should be built near New Jerusalem museum and exhibition complex in Russia, Governor of the Moscow region Andrey Vorobyov told reporters on Friday.
The hotel is intended to accommodate tourists visiting the New Jerusalem Monastery founded in 1656 and located in the town of Istra in the Moscow region, Russia.
“There is a great demand for comfortable and modern hotels. It is necessary to provide for construction of such a hotel,” Andrey Vorobyov said at a meeting on culture issues held in the museum.
On Friday, Mr. Vorobyov was presented a concept for the New Jerusalem development. In addition to plans to hold exhibitions and special guest programs, it includes a project for the creating of a common cultural space, uniting the museum and located nearby New Jerusalem Monastery.
