Jan Jenisch, the head of the Swiss construction company Sika, will become a new director general of a world leader in cement production – Swiss LafargeHolcim, Rambler News reports with the reference to the company’s press release.
Mr. Jenisch, who has been Sika’s CEO since 2012, will enters upon office in October, 2017. According to the company, the new CEO of LafargeHolcim has a deep understanding of the principles of the industry’s operation. Namely, under the charge of Jan Jenisch, Sika has tripled its market capitalization.
The previous head of LafargeHolcim, Eric Olsen, had to announce his resignation at the end of April following an internal investigation showing that a Syrian branch of Lafarge Cement Syria indirectly financed local militants of terrorist groups, including ISIS.
