A new railway connecting the Prokhladnensky, Baksansky and Elbrussky districts will be built in the Kabardino-Balkar Republic, in Russia’s North Caucasus.

Such amendments to the region’s area planning scheme have been made by Prime Minister of the Kabardino-Balkar Republic, Alii Musukov, the press office of the republican government told Construction.RU on Thursday.

A large-scale project envisages construction of a 95-kilometer railway running from the settlement of Soldatskaya to the town of Tyrnyauza. It will go through the territory of the Prokhladnensky, Baksansky and Elbrussky districts, including those located in the mountain area.

We should remind you that soon the extraction of ore and operation of Tyrnyauza Mining and Processing Works are planned to be resumed there.
