Trump administration allocates $350 million to Ukraine

The White House has submitted a draft federal budget in the 2018 financial year of the USA, which provides for a financial assistance to Ukraine to be rendered within different programs in amount of about $350 million.




In particular, the document envisages the allocation of funds to Ukraine for programs of assistance in the military and security fields, as well as within programs of US State Department and Agency for International Development (USAID).

As it is stated in a budget request, which has been made public, for fiscal year 2018, a total amount of funds allocated to Ukraine assistance programs will be approximately $204 million. These funds are intended to help Ukraine to develop health sector, support economic growth and promote structural reforms in the country.

Apart from that, defense and security assistance will be rendered to Ukraine in amount of $150 million.
