Son of Russian oligarch and the head of Lukoil Vagit Alekperov, Yusuf, buys Western Petroleum Transportation, a small railway operator.




The company has been traditionally closely cooperating with the subsidiaries of Lukoil oil company and, possibly, was previously owned by Lukoil shareholders, Kommersant newspaper reports on Tuesday.

Yusuf Alekperov has turned out to be the only owner of LLC EKTO. On the 19th of May, the Federal Antimonopoly Service of Russia granted to this company a preliminary permit for the purchase of 60% in Western Petroleum Transportation railway operator from Raso Ventures offshore company, registered in the British Virgin Islands.

Western Petroleum Transportation has been on the market since 2003, its revenue for 2015 amounted to about 109 million rubles.
