Two major waste sorting plants are planned to be constructed in the near future in the Republic of Udmurtia, Russia.




This is what an interim Minister of Nature and Environment Protection of the region, Alexander Nesterov, announced on Tuesday at a press conference.

According to him, the first facility with a capacity of 100,000 cubic meters will be located in the Glazovsky district instead of a landfill site along Yukamensky highway. The second facility with a capacity of 250,000 cubic meters will be built in the Zavyalov district.

The construction of both facilities are estimated at 500,000 rubles and 1,2 billion rubles respectively.

As a reference, the Udmurt Republic with the population of over 1,5 million people is located to the west of the Ural Mountains, in Russia.
