Zagorsk Pipe Plant has started the production of pipes of a large diameter for Gazprom gas corporation, the report of the Russian gas holding says.
According to Gazprom, the plant launched commercial product supplies in 2016. The enterprise has proved the high quality of the pipes produced there, what allowed in March 2017 to include them in a register of tubular products approved for the use on objects of Gazprom.
The first batch of the plant’s pipes with a diameter between 1020 and 1420 mm and with an external three-layer insulation is planned to be delivered to Gazprom in June this year.
“It is important that in Russia there is a new manufacturer of pipes meeting the high demands of our company. This means increased competition in the pipe industry and, therefore, further improvement of product quality and economic viability,” the head of Gazprom, Alexey Miller, said.
