The former head of the United States Barack Obama has acquired a house worth more than $8 million located near the home of Ivanka Trump, a daughter of the acting US President.
Previously, Barack Obama had rented the mansion because of its proximity to the school, where his youngest daughter, Sasha, study.
The building is located in the elite district of Washington — Kalorama, a few miles from home of Ivanka Trump and Jared Kushner, a daughter and son-in-law of the American President Donald Trump. According to the Washington Post, the Obama couple's house was built in 1921 and later, in 2011, it was reconstructed.
At present, it has eight bedrooms and nine bathrooms, with the cost second only to one house in the area – a mansion of the founder of Amazon Internet company, Jeff Bezos.
