Chairman of the Board of the Center for Strategic Research (CSR) and former Finance Minister Alexey Kudrin has voiced opinion that a notorious program of housing renovation in Moscow requires public debate.
“Of course, this task (of renovation) is absolutely justified, but the configuration of the particular program that is carried out in Moscow requires public discussion”, Alexey Kudrin told reporters on the sidelines of the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum.
He has noted that he sees the reaction of the Moscow authorities, and hopes that ultimately will an optimum alternative will be elaborated from the point of view of legal procedures and the interests of residents of these homes.
