General Electric and Bashneft, a Russian oil company, have signed a contract for the maintenance of biological sewage treatment plants at the sites of the Russian oil producer, Rambler News reports on Friday.
“Under the contract, General Electric will provide a technological guarantee for the maintenance of a unique for Russia sewage treatment facilities installed at the sites of Bashneft. The warranty period is 15 years. During this time, GE will supply membranes to replace worn-out ones and also provide comprehensive support for the technological processes of wastewater treatment using advanced engineering and digital technologies”, the message reads.
Earlier, General Electric was contracted to supply equipment within the framework of reconstruction of treatment facilities owned by Bashneft.
