Orenburgneft, a subsidiary of the Russian company Rosneft, has opened a new oil field in the Orenburg region, with recoverable reserves of 2.6 million tons of oil, the company’s statement says.
“PJSC Orenburgneft, a subsidiary of Rosneft, has opened a new field Bakhtiyarovskoye with total recoverable reserves of 2.6 million tons of oil, including that of C1 category – 1.3 million tons,” the message reads.
It is noted that the field was discovered following the drilling of exploration wells in the Severo-Pokrovskoe license area.
“In the Severo-Pokrovskoe license area it is planned to drill two more exploration wells at Kamyshlinskaya and Novoalekseevskaya, that is expected to provide increment of recoverable reserves in a total amount of 3,4 million tons of oil,” the company says.
