The General Board of State Expert Review of Russia has approved a project for the infrastructure development of Kamennomysskoye-more gas field in the Yamalo-Nenets autonomous district, the Russian region situated close to Polar Circle.
As Construction.RU was told by the press office of the agency, Kamennomysskoye-more gas field is the most complicated one in terms of its development. The field is located 50 km from the coast in the offshore area of the Ob Bay of the Kara Sea at a depth of between 6 and 12 meters.
The gas field reserves amount to 534,7 billion cubic meters of natural gas, while projected levels of annual production exceed 30 billion cubic meters. The field development is planned to be carried out with the use of a stationary ice-resistant offshore structures and underwater pipelines laid at the bottom of the Gulf of Ob.
