Options of “smart home” in new buildings must be socially oriented, President of Kortros state enterprise, Veniamin Golubitsky, told Interfax news agency on the sidelines of a conference Startup Village taking place in Skolkovo Innovation Center.
“The package of what we call a "smart house" should be socially oriented. It's one thing to build a “smart home” system as a complex, where primarily low-income young people will live, but luxury housing is quite a different thing. It's completely different costs and different needs,” he said.
Mr. Golubitsky noted that, in general, Russian society is ready to use “smart” and energy efficient technologies in everyday life. However, it leads to significantly higher prices and consumer should understand how the service affects the quality of life.
