Russian gas holding Gazprom does not rule out problems with the export of liquefied natural gas (LNG) from Qatar in connection with the severance of its diplomatic relations with a number of states, Deputy Chairman of the Board of Gazprom, Alexander Medvedev, said at a press conference on Tuesday.
“Qatar is not an oil exporter, but a gas one. We should not exclude that the escalation of these events could lead to problems with export of Qatari LNG,” he noted.
Mr. Medvedev added that nevertheless it is too early to draw conclusions about the impact of these developments on export of Qatari LNG.
“We don’t know, whether it will happen or not. Let’s have a look. We should wait,” he said.
