British Gillespies to create master plan for New Moscow area development

A101 Group of Companies has signed an agreement with the British design bureau Gillespies on the creation of a strategic master plan for its territories in New Moscow, Russia, director general at A101, Sergei Kachura, told Interfax news agency on Wednesday.




“The company plans to build 20 million meters of commercial and residential real estate. It is 550,000 future residents, 230,000 jobs. The scale of population is comparable to that in the cities of Vladivostok or Hanover. A meaningful work with the territory is required relevant to the current economic situation and the desires of consumers”, Mr. Kachur said on the sidelines of Real Estate in Russia Forum.

Sergei Kachura explained that the project’s objective would be the fixing of economic drivers of the territories development, admeasurement of functional areas with the consideration of terrain features, transport accessibility, as well as plans for the development of neighboring territories.

According to preliminary estimates, investment in the project will amount to 450 billion rubles ($8 billion).
