The Minister of Industry and Trade of Russia, Denis Manturov, and the Minister of Economic Development of Italy, Carlo Calenda, have discussed the development of Sukhoi Superjet and MC-21 projects in Venice.
The talks were held within the framework of St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (2017 SPIEF) taking place in Russia, as it follows from a report of the press office of the Russian Ministry of Industry and Trade.
“Carlo Calenda said that the Italian companies and the government were interested in assembling of the aircraft”, the message reads.
It is noted that Denis Manturov has invited the Italian counterpart and Italian companies to take part in Russian industrial exhibition INNOPROM in the city of Yekaterinburg.
As a reference, the Sukhoi Superjet 100 is a modern fly-by-wire twin-engine regional jet designed by Sukhoi, a division of the Russian civil aerospace company.
