A unique Nuclear Medicine Center in the Russian city of Vladivostok is scheduled to be completed by 2020.

This is what Governor of the Primorsky region, Vladimir Miklushevsky, said on Thursday at a meeting with reporters at the Far Eastern Media Summit held in Russia.

He said the project is already completed and a land plot for the construction site has been selected. This will allow to start construction activities in the near future and to finish the work by 2020.

The project implies that a PET center will be equipped with two more PET MRI scanners. Currently, it is necessary to carry out up to 6,000 PET studies per year in Primorye to meet healthcare demands.
