Two major modern cancer centers are planned to be put in operation in the Moscow regional towns of Balashikha and Podolsk, Russia, by the 1st of September 2017.

This is what Governor of the Moscow region, Andrey Vorobyov, announced within the framework of the Second Region’s Social Innovation Forum taking place now near the country’s capital city. According to him, 5 billion rubles ($88 million) have been invested in on-site construction and the equipment of the cancer center.

The funds have been raised by the scheme of a public and private partnership with the Russian Direct Investment Fund (RDIF) and its partners from Arab sovereign funds. With the opening of these two medical centers, a high-tech cancer treatment will provide not only by a central institute located at Kashirkoye Shosse in Moscow.
