The consortium German Initiative is negotiating with Russian construction companies the joint participation in the building of Russia's first high-speed railway running from Moscow to Kazan, President of German Siemens in Russia Dietrich Moeller told reporters on Thursday.
“German initiative is in talks with Russian building companies that have got involved in this project. It is clear that the most important part of the project, two thirds of it, is the construction activities,” Moeller said on the sidelines of the international railway business forum titled 1520 Strategic Partnership.
According to him, representatives of Russia’s construction companies have visited projects in Germany and confirmed that Russia has the capabilities and competencies to develop the high-speed railway construction site of such scale with the use of some German technologies and solutions.
