The Federal Antimonopoly Service (FAS) upheld a motion of Lukoil-Western Siberia, affiliated with Lukoil, on the acquisition of 99.999% of the charter capital of Chumpassneftedobycha company located in the Khanty-Mansiisk Autonomous District.




According to SPARK-Interfax, Chumpassneftedobycha with a production volume of 21,000 tons of oil per year belongs to JSC Petroleum Geological Company owned by Heritage Oil & Gas Holdings registered in the Bahamas.

The information published on the website of Heritage Oil Plc, the company was acquired in 2014 for $1.55 billion by Energy Investments Global controlled by Al Mirqab Capital SPC.

As it follows from the company’s documentation, Al Mirqab Capital SPC (Doha) belongs to Sheikh Hamad Bin Jassim Bin Jabor Al Thani and his family. Hamad al-Thani possesses significant assets, particularly in Qatar, Europe and the United States, mostly in the banking and financial sectors, as well as in real estate, hospitality, industry, energy, consumer and retail sectors.
