Prime Minister of Russia Dmitry Medvedev announced that the completion deadline for the first starting complex of the Central Ring Road would be extended from 2018 to 2019.

“Due to the fact that investment conditions have changed, and the slower pace of finding of private co-investors than it was planned, the deadline for the construction completion of the first section in the updated plan has been extended to 2019. But this is the final deadline – colleagues have assured me that this period is realistic and everything will be done in this period”, – Dmitry Medvedev said at a meeting on the issue of the Central Ring Road construction.

The first phase of the Central Ring Road involves building a 339 km road, with some sections implemented on the basis of a concession.

The Central Ring Road is a large-scale project of the Moscow region’s infrastructure development, which will also include some new areas of Moscow.
