Volkswagen Truck & Bus signed an agreement with GAZ Group, on which premises the contract assembly of cars of Volkswagen Group is carried out, to explore options for cooperation in trucks and buses production.
The emphasis will be laid on delivery and joint assembly of car components, as well as on the development of concepts for joint products, as it follows from a joint press release of Volkswagen Truck & Bus and GAZ Group.
“The document we have signed today demonstrates our joint intention to explore potential collaboration. This can be a manufacturing, joint development, as well as supply of components and cabins,” Executive Director of Volkswagen Truck & Bus Andreas Renschler told reporters.
