Italian Eni does not rule out its participation in the construction of a gas pipeline within Turkish Stream project as a shareholder, the company’s chief midstream gas & power officer and vice president, Massimo Mantovani, announced on Thursday.

“We do not rule out our participation as a shareholder in Turkish Stream”, Massimo Mantovani said.

Turkish Stream is a project of a non-transit export pipeline from Russia to Turkey across the Black Sea and next to Turkey's border with neighboring countries. The first string of the gas pipeline is intended for the Turkish market, the second is designed to supply gas to South and South-East European states. The capacity of each line amounts to 15.75 billion cubic meters of gas per year.
