Rosatom, a Russian state nuclear energy corporation, expects by the end of 2017 to attract investors in a project of Akkuyu nuclear power plant construction in Turkey.

This is stated in the presentation materials of the head of the Debt Financing and Investment Department of Rosarom Energo International, Anastasia Polovinkina, prepared within the framework of 2017 ATOMEXPO.

“The objective of Rosatom is to attract investors by the end of 2017”, the presentation says.

“We expect that investors will enter the project with a 49% stake,” she said, presenting the project for the nuclear power plant construction.

The head of the Department added that the construction of Akkuyu would be implemented with funds raised through export credit agencies, as well as through loans from commercial banks.
