Tikkurila, the leading paint company in the Nordic area and Eastern Europe headquartered in Finland, is likely to invest 30-35 million euro in construction of a paint manufacturer in the territory of Greenstate industrial park located near St. Petersburg, Russia.
“Tikkurila has signed an agreement of intent on the acquisition of a plot of land with an area of 7 hectares intended for an industrial development near St. Petersburg. The purpose of the acquisition is the beginning of a new plant construction in 2018”, as it follows from the materials published on the company’s website.
The plant’s annual production capacity will reach 30 million litres, and in the future, the capacity is likely to be increased. The new facility will manufacture products for decorative and industrial segments, and will replace the two operating in St. Petersburg enterprises for the production of solvent-borne products.
