Plant producing electric-weld pipes for Arctic put in operation in Russia

A facility manufacturing high-duty electric-weld pipes intended for the Arctic shelf development has been put in operation on Tuesday on the premises of Liskimontazhkonstruktsija plant in the Voronezh region, Russia.




As Construction.RU was told by the regional press office, the matter concerns the mass production of longitudinal welded large-diameter pipes with special anti-corrosion treatment. After the enterprise reaches its capacity by 2023, it will start releasing up to 120,000 tons of production worth 15 billion rubles.

First and foremost, these pipes are intended for construction of high-pressure oil and gas pipelines at low temperatures, as well as off-shore pipes. There is no analogues of these products in Russia.

On-site construction and equipment of the new plant are estimated at 5 billion rubles. Also, 252 news jobs have been created at the enterprise.
