Honda Motor has suspended this week an operation of its plant in Japan the day after WannaCry virus was discovered, according to Reuters.

The operation was suspended on the 19th of June at a plant in Sayama, which produces models of Accord, Odyssey, and Step Wagon. The facility produces 1 million cars per day.

The company said that the virus attacked computers of Honda in Japan, North America, Europe and China, as well as in other regions.

In May, a virus-extortionist WannaCry massively attacked Windows computers in 150 countries. Government agencies, hospitals, as well as networks of Renault and Nissan were affected by the virus.
