Pamplona Fund buys Parexel for $5 billion

Pamplona Capital Management investment fund has reached a final agreement to purchase the pharmaceutical company Parexel for $5 billion, as it follows from the Fund’s report.




The amount of the transaction includes Parexel’s net debt. The Fund Pamplona, in accordance with the statement, will acquire a 100% stake in the pharmaceutical company at $88,10 per share.

It is expected that the transaction will be closed in the IV quarter of 2017. The Board of Directors of the pharmaceutical company unanimously approved the transaction.

“Pamplona has significant experience in the pharmaceutical and medical fields, and we are happy to support them, while we are working to implement long-term prospects for Parexel,” the company’s Chairman, Josef von Rickenbach, commented on the deal.
