The Novosibirsk region, Siberia, Russia, will get financing from the federal budget for the implementation of a project for the construction of the fourth bridge across the Ob River in the city of Novosibirsk.

These plans were unveiled by the head of the Russian Roads Agency (Avtodor), Roman Starovoit.

“The Government of the Russian Federation understands that the project should be implemented in principle. A financial model still has to be specified and a year by year breakdown to be made,” Mr. Starovoit told reporters on Sunday.

He added that the matter on the project’s implementation has already been settled.

Earlier, the press office of the Novosibirsk regional administration announced that on May 30, the Transport Commission at the Russian Government took a decision to allocate over 26 billion rubles in a grant to the Novosibirsk region to the implementation of a project for the fourth bridge construction across the Ob River.
